Dried diced cranberries are ruby-red pieces of Vaccinium macrocarpon berries — tart, chewy, and naturally vibrant — harvested from the peat bogs of Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and coastal Oregon. Cranberries are among only three commercially cultivated fruits native to North America; the dicing and low-heat drying process concentrates their characteristic colour, flavour, and antioxidant polyphenol content.
A modest amount of sugar is added during drying to balance the berries' pronounced tartness — this is standard practice across all commercial dried cranberries and is disclosed on our product label.
