Mamra almonds are hand-harvested, sun-dried, and higher in oil content (~55–60%) than California almonds (~50%). California almonds are farmed, machine-harvested, and commercially pasteurised. Mamra has a distinctly nuttier, more intense taste.

Soaking 8–10 almonds overnight and eating them peeled the next morning is a common traditional practice. They can also be eaten raw, lightly roasted, or ground into flour.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 60 days. Refrigeration extends shelf life further. High oil content means they are more susceptible to rancidity if exposed to heat or moisture.
